Your Love, Oh Lord

Every day I realize how indescribable God's love for us. I've been sitting here thinking of what to say but it's so hard to put into words.
People fail us. I've learned that sometimes friends became distant to you, there will be times when no one can help you because they're too busy,  and nothing on this world will never satisfy you. but don't worry my friend, I have good news. Jesus. He's always there for you. He's never too busy. He never doesn't care. He will NEVER fail you. He will never leave you hungry for more. He's satisfying. Loving. Caring. Forgiving.

Sunday, as I sat on my hammock watching my bro and dad play outside and my sis and mom sit out in the sun I was once again reminded how blessed I am. I have two godly parents who give all their energy for us kids. I have two siblings who've always erased my stress by making me laugh. I have a house. And food. A car (oh man that's very useful). Selections and selections of clothes and shoes. I'm so selfish to want more. To be disappointed and unsatisfied for more than what I have. I deserve none of what I have.

But he's loved me. He's poured out his love to me. He's forgiven me. He's cared for me. He's always there for me. He never fails me.

This song perfectly describes Jesus' character and of how we should respond to his love for us.

Your love, oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide

I will lift my voice
To worship You, my King
I will find my strength
In the shadow of your wings

always remember that you are blessed in whatever situation you are in. i know sometimes life treats you wrong but you are alive. you have clothing to cover you. a house to keep you safe. family and friends. you are forgiven and loved by God. you're blessed.

Let us not Forget our Eternal Gift

Hey guys it's Ellie with a special (very special, loving, pretty, cool, funny, and awesome guest) guest. Well I really shouldn't even be in this post, so here she is. ;P

4 days until Christmas and it's the first day of winter! Gifts are flooding in via the mail, trees are being brought out and dusted off, lights strung, cookies baked, and so on. But, in all the hustle and bustle of this season, what are we really celebrating?

Are we celebrating tangible gifts or, God-our Savior, our Eternal Gift? Our, Wonderful Counselor, our Prince of Peace? (see Isaiah 9:6) For all that Christ has done for us, we shouldn't belittle Him and put gifts front and center. We need to worship the Lord regularly but, we need not forget Him during this season. I know with all the excitement of new items, we can get a little distracted but, we need to remember Him. Thank Him. Worship Him. Praise Him. For all He has done and, all that He will do.

So, as each minute passes, let us strive to keep God in mind and, as we open our gifts, remember, "Why do we celebrate this holiday anyway?"

Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

                              Merry Christmas, y'all!!

I love you guys,
Anya

What I Like About the Song He Will Hold Me Fast.

Welcome to Good Apples Friday
Today I'm sharing a song that we sing at church a lot.
It's called He Will Hold me Fast.

When I fear my faith will fail,
Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail,
He can hold me fast.

Refrain

He will hold me fast,
He will hold me fast;
For my Savior loves me so,
He will hold me fast.

I could never keep my hold,
He will hold me fast;
For my love is often cold,
He must hold me fast.

Refrain

I am precious in His sight,
He will hold me fast;
Those He saves are His delight.
He will hold me fast.

Refrain

He’ll not let my soul be lost,
Christ will hold me fast;
Bought by Him at such a cost,
He will hold me fast.

Refrain

I love this song because it's so comforting.
When we go through trials.
He will hold us fast.
He'll never let go.

I love the verse, "Oh my Savoir loves me so,"
It's so awesome to know that God loves you.

Remember to know what God is holding you.
You don't have to be afraid.

Good Apples Friday // Catechism Questions

Welcome to Good Apples Friday
For my bible study I memorize catechism questions.
I really like these two I've been memorizing.

What is you only comfort in life in and death?
That I am not my own, but belong body and soul in life in death to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair from my head may fall without the will of the Father in heaven; in fact all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit assures me of eternal life and makes me whole-heartedly willing and reading to live for Him.

I really like this whole thing, but I highlighted the words that I think are really important. I love how it says, "All things must work together for my salvation." That's so comforting to know. That God is in control and everything that happens in my life works together for my salvation.

What must you know to live and die in the joy of this comfort?
Three things: How great my sin and misery are; how I am set free from all my sin and misery; and how I should thank God for such deliverance.

Again just the things I highlighted were some really important stuff. How GREAT MY sin and misery are. I am horrible. I am a horrible sinner. BUT, I am SET FREE FROM ALL my sin and misery. I am set free from ALL of that horrible stuff. And I SHOULD THANK GOD for that. Because he is so GOOD to me. So good. He died for me. He died for the the one who constantly disobeys him. He died for the girl who complains about lots of things when I don't deserve anything I have.

ISN'T HE SO GOOD GUYS?

I hope you like this post and it helps you!
Remember to NEVER stop thanking God for the great things he has done.
Even if you're going through something horrible.
You're still breathing because of him.
You still have food because of him.
You still have clothes because of him.

Remember that.

Please give me some feedback. I'd love to hear from you awesome people.

Good Apples Friday // My God is Amazing and Here's Why.

Seriously everybody my God is amazing!

Welcome to Good Apples Friday

I am here today to remind you of how great your God is. And how loving he is towards you.

Today for my bible study I had the joy of reading the last to chapter sadly of Live Smart. I recently posted about this book and how we should love the church a couple weeks ago and I'm here again with some other awesomeness from this book.

Know the Gospel

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2nd Corinthians 5:21

At first I didn't really get this verse, but now after hearing this chapter it really comes clear.

What do you feel like most of the time when you get very bad score on a test? I feel very discouraged. But what about this kind of score? What if I told you that every single day I pray to God saying, "God please let me obey you today. Please let me love others. Please let me have a good attitude and obey my parents." And after that I hate on others. I don't obey my parents and if I do I whine horribly about it. And that makes me feel so discouraged. So mad. That I can't go one hour without sinning against God. Without just saying two words after my mom tells me to do something. Yes mom. Why? And it makes me feel so sorry to God. I failed. I totally failed. That test was to see if I could obey my mom with a good attitude and I failed.

But God sees this and he is sorry for us. He loves us and he doesn't want us to go to hell. He wants us to be with him forever. So he looks at his son and his perfect score. Jesus, lived a perfect life. Absolutely no sins. And what reward does Jesus get for that perfect score. Would you take the blame for all of Ellie's sins and every ones sins and die for them. I get so mad when sometimes my dad said I meant to spill the water on the table when really it was just an accident. Imagine people hating on Jesus and making him die for something he never even did. But he loved us enough that he did that for us. He died for us. He took my blame. Okay thank you Jesus!

And it gets better too! Not only did Jesus take my blame, but he gave me his perfect score. I'm clean. You are clean guys! Jesus gave you his perfect score. His 100% on one of the hardest I mean hardest tests of your life. He gave it to you. oh boy girls you are loved. you are loved!

Martin Luther called this the "great exchange." You know what I deserve? Eternal death. You know what Jesus deserves? Eternal life with Jesus Christ. And you know what I received instead of what I deserve. Eternal life with Jesus Christ. And you know what Jesus received instead of what he deserved. death. And he did die. But he rose from the dead. And now we will have eternal life with him in heaven. Oh thank you Jesus. I do not deserve ANYTHING. But you gave me eternal life.

This is why my God is amazing.
And I hope you think that too.

Now spread this to everyone you see.
And let them see the joy that you have too.

That Jesus died for you and he is risen!

What I Like About the Song Jesus is Better

Heyy everyone! Today I'm doing another What I like About This Song.

What I Like About the Song
Jesus is Better by Austin Stone

There is no other, so sure and steady
My hope is held in Your hand
When castles crumble, and breath is fleeting
Upon this rock I will stand, upon this rock I will stand
Glory, glory, we have no other king
But Jesus Lord of all
We raise the anthem our loudest praises ring
We crown Him Lord of all
Your kindly rule has shattered and broke
The curse of sin’s tyranny
My life is hidden ‘neath Heaven’s shadow
Your crimson flood covers me
Your crimson flood covers me
In all my sorrows
Jesus is better, make my heart believe
In every vict’ry
Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Than any comfort
Jesus is better, make my heart believe
More than all riches
Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Our souls declaring:
Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Our song eternal:
Jesus is better, make my heart believe

I love these lyrics because it's so true.
Jesus is Better.
I love the line that says,
In Every Sorrow, Jesus is Better, Make my Heart Believe.
More than all riches
Jesus is Better, Make my heart believe.

We all struggle with not putting God first.
And it's hard.
But I want to pray and ask God to make him first.
To know that Jesus is Better than any riches.
Than any victory.
Than any comfort.
That he is better.

I understand it's hard to maybe give something up because you think that it is pulling it apart from you and God. But Jesus is Better. And ask God to make you heart believe that.

Jesus is Better, Make My Heart Believe

What I like about The Secret Place.

Hey guys!
Today I'm going to start off a little new series called..
What I Love About This Song.
I'm not a big music listener, but whenever I listen to Christian music I love it.
Me and my brother also love rap, but I'm not gonna talk about that.
I love peaceful music.
So my first song is Secret Place by Phil Wickham.
I already featured the lyrics in a post right here.

I love this song because it really shows how eager we should be when we are in hard times.
Sometimes life is just hard. And we try to cure it with things we love.
Like movies, writing, reading, or food.
But we need to focus are eyes are Christ.
That he will be there for us.
It says in verse 2,
                               You are my only hope
You are the Rock on which I stand
You will not let me go
I know that I am safe inside Your hands
When you are just tired of fighting something that is just making you mad.
Or fighting something that is making you said.
God is there.
And you are safe with him.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged," Deuteronomy 31 says.
Better is a moment that I spend with You
Than a million other days away
I'm running, I'm running
I'm running to the secret place
I love these lines because it's so true.
Better is a moment with you than a million other days.
It reminds me of that song Better is One Day
Better is one day in your courts
Better is one day in your house
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.
I love that song!

I hope you like this song too! And maybe get a better understanding too.
To know that you are safe in God's hands.
And that with God is better than anything.

Here is the song for you to listen too:

Hope you like!
Comment if you want some more! :)

Thanks guys!

God in the Center

Hey guys! I'm Anya and I am going to write about how to keep God in the center of your life. I am the oldest of almost 6 kids and between helping with children, cooking, schoolwork, etc. it can be hard to set aside time for God. As a teen, it is most important for me to grow close to the Lord as I get older so that I will have a strong relationship as an adult. Some ways to keep Adonai in the center of your life are:

Setting a time:
I can focus better when I read and pray in the afternoon.

During school:
I have bible school work and the curriculum we use (CLE) has us read multiple chapters so, adding on more reading wouldn't hurt.

Whenever you are in a quiet place:
Whether you are putting a coat in a closet, outside, folding, etc. grab your bible or phone or whatever you use and read or listen to your bible.

Include friends:
It would be nice to include friends in prayer and bible reading to help you stay accountable.

Social media:
I use my email a lot and I just ask my friends or family if they need prayer requests or I ask them for prayers.

Through Music, Movies, or Books:
When engaging in uplifting media, it helps you think more about Christ and encourages you to really remember who you are living for.

Prayer:
You don't need to pray only at night, pray constantly. I find that when I thank God about something I don't like doing like, cleaning the restrooms, it helps me become more grateful. It usually goes a little something like this, "God, though I don't like cleaning the restroom, thank you so much for a bathroom to clean, and a home that has bathroom in it, etc." Prayer is very important, my parents always say, "If you don't spend time and talk with someone, how do you get to know them?"
1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

These are ways I hope can help you grow in your spiritual walk but, one shouldn't just try to check it off the list. Really sit and enjoy the moment because life is not promised and we need to live every last minute of our lives for Christ. After all, the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. (Westminster Shorter Catechism)

So, whether you are a new believer or have been a follower of Christ for a few years or more, how is your relationship with Adonai? Strong? In need of strength?Just think about it.

Thanks so much for this chance to guest post on your blog Ellie! It was great! I hope to write again!

In Yahweh,

A Little Bounce in Your Step!

Welcome to A Bounce in Your Step
Hello friends! Welcome to A Bounce in Your Step! I hope you all like the new name. I know I do. Oh and sorry about that completely random story a couple days ago. Comment if you'd like me to more of those though! Anywho, thank you Allie from Spreading my Joy for doing my design. Guys go and get a design from her. She's so patient and she's totally opened to anything. She's awesome. Thanks Allie for putting up with me. Because I change my mind a lot when looking for designs. You can go right here to see Allie's Blog Designs Blog. Thanks again Allie! Oh and I loved these sunsets. My favorite color is officially sunset orange. Not just because of Peeta. I really do LOVE the color. It's just shows God's wonderful creation! And reminds me that God is in control. And that comforts me.

So, all credit to my dad for thinking of this name. While I was going to the dentist I asked him some names ideas and he gave me this. At first I was a little like, "Okay..moreee.." But after everything everybody suggested I was like, "Nope it's not better than A Bounce in Your Step." People say you just put a bounce in my step when someone encourages or cheers them up. And I love that. Because I want to encourage people. I love doing it. And I hope I'm encouraging you! I also love the title cause it's goes so much with me. I love flipping and exercising. I'm a sporty person. bounce bounce! It's awesome! I really like this title. And I hope you like it too!

A long time ago I was at Sunday School and our teacher asked me to write down what you want people to say about you when you die. And I said that I encouraged them. And he asked me, "Oh so you're an encourager huh?" I was like yeah. I'm nice like that. hehe sorry for that sick Nick Fury quote there. I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks I am just hilarious! :P Anywho, I'm a shy person. It's hard for me to just get out of my comfort zone and talk to people. But I love encouraging people. And I love encouraging people online! It's so easy. I hope I encourage you guys! :)

I hope that this year I can put a bounce in your step. And that I can encourage you! And also that I can get out of my comfort zone and just encourage everybody! I pray that this year me and you will encourage people more. That whatever is stopping us from encouraging people we will break it. And I know that God will be with me always. And with you too!

Let's go and put a little bounce in their step!

Thanks for reading! It really encourages me when you comment and give me your feedback. You guys are great! Thanks guys! Let's keep encouraging each other!

Sincerely,
             Bernie

Be Thankful

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
One of my lessons for the week is being thakful. Yesterday my dad, mom, brother, and me went to Kohls to return a pair of tennis shoes so I could get a pair I liked a little more. After two hours of shopping for some I found nothing and left the store with empty hands. I saw this pair of black and white tennis shoes. They're nikes. And I loved them! Well I couldn't get them and after I saw those shoes I really wanted nothing else. After that I was picky. Cause all I really wanted was that shoe.  Anywho, I got a pair of shoes at another store after getting the big talk with my dad. I liked them a lot though. Anyway, my point is we need to be thankful. That's something I've failed at this week. We deserve nothing of this. Only to be sent to hell. But God have forgiven us and gave us so much. Even when we sin against him so much everyday. He has been gracious to us. Thank you Jesus! There are kids around the country with no shoes, a home, a bed, or a bible. People around the world REJOICE for just one page of the bible in their language. And I have what like 20 bibles in my whole house. We have so much to be thankful for. God is so good to us! And let me share this lyric that I love form the song "Amen, He Lives" By Matt Maher.
Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
I just love this lyric because it reminds me of how God died on the cross for me. For the people who wanted to kill him. For Pilot. For me. For my family.
Because he lives I can face tomorrow. Thank you Jesus.
And last of all I have a post I posted on my group blog a long time ago.
I hope you like!
Sometimes we are so caught up in what we can have that we forget what we have.
We forget that that we don’t deserve anything.
Not our family.
Not a bed.
Not even a single penny.
So why should we want more.
Sometimes I like to think of all the big blessings God has given me.
Even the little ones too.
Like my bed.
And my family.
My education.
Food.
Technology where we can communicate with long distance friends.
A bible.
A notebook and pencil.
Some people have none of these things.
They live in a little house.
They go days without eating.
And they don’t have shoes to wear outside.
Why do I want so much more when I do not even deserve anything.
And while others just pray for a meal.
I want something like a shiny bicycle.
Thank you God for blessing me with all these many many blessing.
Although I deserve none of them.
You give them to me.
When others hated you and spit on you.
You died for them.
Thank you Jesus!

Hope you like!
Comment your comments on this post!
Thanks!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
      Sincerely,
                 Bernie:P

Things I'm Thankful For

1. God. Every time I pray I ask to be bold so I can preach the gospel, to have self control, to love others, and many other things and I know I can't do anything without him. He helps me in so many ways!
2. My mom. Even though she lives a life of her body always hurting she loves me, teaches me, and provides for me. She is the best bus driver EVA! I love her so much!
3. My dad. He is always working for me and my family. I've realized sitting on a chair and looking on a computer is not what he'd want to do all day, but he does it to provide for us and give us a nice home and food.
4. My sister. She always makes me happy and never leaves me with a frown. She's funny and I always got someone to talk to with her. She loves me so much and me too! :) I always can talk to her about books and movies and that kind of stuff. ;)
5. My brother. He is always someone to play with and joke around with. He ALWAYS keeps me laughing and enjoying the hard things. He's got me into football and baseball and I love it. We're class clowns together!
6. My friends. They always talk to me and keep me happy. I'm always me when I'm around them.
7. My church. They always encourage me to be closer to Jesus and to love others. It's awesome to have friends who encourage you in everything you do.
8. My bible. Without that thing I'd be nothing. I love reading the bible. It comforts me and makes me realize how much I need Jesus in my life.
9. Food. It's so yummy and good. Without it I wouldn't be healthy and I couldn't be the energetic person I am.
10. My body. Me and my brother have been reading the Human Body for science and I realize how much God designed every one of us so we could do even the simplest things like bending our knee and opening our mouth. He has made us to run fast and do cartwheels. He's awesome. No one can make any kind of body better than him. No one. Not any kind of technology either.
11. My school. Yeah I know I'm saying this, but I want to be someone someday. Someone who is smart and has a good job. And I realize I can't do that unless I have my education. And with education you need books. God has provided these awesome school books to teach me.
12. Clothes. They keep us warm. And cool. And they are so cozy.
13. My bed and blankets. I always like getting up in my bed and having sleep. Who doesn't.
14. My house. It keeps me safe.
15. This blog. My blogger friends. You guys. I'm so glad I could have this blog. I'm a shy person so I can't always go and share the gospel in front of people, but I really want to get better at it. It's awesome that I can share God's love here to all of you guys. Thank you everyone for listening! Commenting and encouraging! It means so much! ;)
16. Photography. I love being able to share pictures of God's BEAUTIFUL creation. It's awesome!
17. My country. It makes me so sad to think that ISIS is killing innocent people in different countries. I'm just so glad we live in a country where that isn't happening. I know they are very bad things going on in United States to, but God has gave us a country where we can read the bible freely. Some people don't even have those things.
18. Books. They're cool. :P
19. Art. For markers, coloring books, and pencils.
20. Communication. It's awesome to be able to make friends with people all around the world. :)
We need to realize we have A LOT.
Many people are very poor.
They're people with a hut for a home.
Only one pair of clothes.
No shoes.
Food on the table is rare.
They are hungry.
Clean water is also very rare.
And here we are wanting more and more and more.
We call Thanksgiving Thanksgetting now.
Why do we long for more?
Be thankful for what you have today.
Because we don't deserve any of it.
We don't deserve a penny.
But God is giving this to us.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Hope you like!

the word HATE

HATE
verb (used with object)hated, hating.
1.
to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest:
to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry.
I've been trying to get better and not say hate so much.
Hate really is a strong word.
And when we say we hate someone that means a lot.
God told us to love everyone.
If you hate something or someone that makes you a hater.

             HATER

a person who has an intense dislike for another person or thing (often used in combination): I'm abig hater of opera.

2.
Informal. a person who thrives on showing hate toward, criticizing, or belittling other people or things, usually unfairly:
The guy is just a hater, looking for a fight.
Now I don't know about you, but I don't want anybody saying I'm a hater.
We might hate someone because of their sin.
John 3:15 says this,
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
When we hate people for their sin we don't recognize that we have the same sin too.
In Romans 3:10 it says,
As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;
In Mathew 7:1-5 is says to,
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
We don't not understand that we are sinners too.
We forget that we're not perfect either.
But instead of hating each other we need to love.
We need to forgive each other.
I love these verses telling how God forgave us.
Hebrews 10:17
Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
Everyday we want to be more like Jesus.
We need to forgive like Jesus does.
And we need to love each other.
Not hate each other.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 John 4:18-19

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us.

John 15:13

13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Colossians 3:14

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

One quote I love that I remembering when I say I hate someone.
This is so true!
I love it!

Next time when you say you hate someone I hope you remember this.
And I'll end on this.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Is there a Serjio in your life?

Hello everyone!
So today I'm going to talk about something that I thought about sharing to you today.
I hope all of you have read my blog post about the summer camp I went to.
It was my first time and it was absolutely so awesome!
Nothings better than getting to talk about Jesus ALL day WITH  your friends ALL week.
God definitely touched me that week.
To see the blog posts click here and here.
Anywho, you might catch in those posts I might've talked about a boy named Serjio.
The pastor that night told us about him.
One night Serjio was sitting down and he probably looked a little sad.
Some collage students came up to him and preached the gospel to him.
That night he received Christ as his Savior.
A couple months later he died on a four wheeler with his uncle.
His testimony tells everyone that they shouldn't even think about feeling embarrassed about sharing Christ to other.
There could be a Serjio in your life.
Any day you cousin, best friend, grandma, grandpa, teacher, or anyone could die without even knowing Christ.
So we need to step up as Christians and proclaim his gospel.
We don't know what could happen tomorrow.
But we need to live life like we got no tomorrow.
Or that person has no tomorrow.
I've been reading Acts in the bible.
I love it a lot because it really shows bravery to share the gospel.
To not be ashamed of the gospel.
Because we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow.
Your friends could be just like Serjio who might die in a couple days or months.
And we lay down hoping they will come to Christ.
I encourage you and me too!
To share the gospel.

Is there a Serjio in your life?
What are you going to do about it?
