Fashion Post and My Awesome Boots // My Birthday!!

warning these pictures are kinda horrible sorry I took them with my iPod timer haha yeahhhh
 
   Hey guys!! As you see, I'm doing a little fashion post. This is a casual yet, well put outfit, that I wore last Sunday.
 
Shirt: Old Navy
Pants: Walmart 
Boots: Earth Spirit
 
   Just last Saturday, I was cleaning my closet because, I do that when I'm bored :P and, I cried over the fact that my right boot (shown in the pictures above), was still missing. Dude, it's been lost for so long, I don't even remember the last time I saw it! I've looked through the closet plenty of times and, never found it. 

   As I finished cleaned out my closet, I removed all the long dresses from in there and, BOOM IT WAS THE SHOE IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!! It was hidden behind all the long dresses, that covered the floor and was sitting there, on my shoe holder! I was so happy and, I made sure I wasn't marveling over the wrong shoe but, it really was the other one! lol I had been searching for this for so long and, THE LOST HAD FINALLY BEEN FOUND. I WAS SO HAPPY.
  
    So, of course, even though it's nearly summer, I just had to wear this pair of boots on Sunday. I wore them with a button up shirt that I'd been wanting to wear for a while (pictured above). Weirdly, that shirt reminds me of When Calls the Heart. I honestly don't know why but, I just see Elizabeth wearing it while hanging up the laundry and talking to Jack. Haha! Honestly, isn't everything so much prettier with Jack in it? :P  

   Anywho, on other notes, it was my birthday 2 days ago!! I'm officially 15 yayyyy!! :D We went bike riding which is kinda a tradition for my birthday because, we did it last year too. IT WAS SO AWESOME! At first, it was hard because, we were riding up reaaallly steep hills but, then WE SOARED DOWN! Ahhhh!! It was so fun! 
   Then we got ice cream which, I dropped. I was walking and BAM, one of the scoops fell :( it was depressing. 
   Thennnn, we ate shrimp and chicken which was sooooo goooood! The flavor was amazing! 
   After that, I got some presents from my grandparents that I love! 
Finally, I enjoyed slushies with my friends :D It was a reaaaally fun birthday and, I was so sad to go to bed and, end all of the fun. 
 
   I think that's all of what's been going on over here other than that fact that, I'll be done with school in a couple of weeks and it'll be FREEDOM! *Champions by Queen starting playing and gets louder* lol I'm so excited! Things are already starting to wrap up and, it's so awesome! I'm feeling very accomplished! I can't wait!

Be Thankful

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR! 
One of my lessons for the week is being thakful. Yesterday my dad, mom, brother, and me went to Kohls to return a pair of tennis shoes so I could get a pair I liked a little more. After two hours of shopping for some I found nothing and left the store with empty hands. I saw this pair of black and white tennis shoes. They're nikes. And I loved them! Well I couldn't get them and after I saw those shoes I really wanted nothing else. After that I was picky. Cause all I really wanted was that shoe.  Anywho, I got a pair of shoes at another store after getting the big talk with my dad. I liked them a lot though. Anyway, my point is we need to be thankful. That's something I've failed at this week. We deserve nothing of this. Only to be sent to hell. But God have forgiven us and gave us so much. Even when we sin against him so much everyday. He has been gracious to us. Thank you Jesus! There are kids around the country with no shoes, a home, a bed, or a bible. People around the world REJOICE for just one page of the bible in their language. And I have what like 20 bibles in my whole house. We have so much to be thankful for. God is so good to us! And let me share this lyric that I love form the song "Amen, He Lives" By Matt Maher. 
Because He lives
I can face tomorrow 
I just love this lyric because it reminds me of how God died on the cross for me. For the people who wanted to kill him. For Pilot. For me. For my family. 
Because he lives I can face tomorrow. Thank you Jesus. 
And last of all I have a post I posted on my group blog a long time ago.

Sometimes we are so caught up in what we can have that we forget what we have.
We forget that that we don’t deserve anything.
Not our family.
Not a bed.
Not even a single penny.
So why should we want more.
Sometimes I like to think of all the big blessings God has given me.
Even the little ones too.
Like my bed.
And my family.
My education.
Food.
Technology where we can communicate with long distance friends.
A bible.
A notebook and pencil.
Some people have none of these things.
They live in a little house.
They go days without eating.
And they don’t have shoes to wear outside.
Why do I want so much more when I do not even deserve anything.
And while others just pray for a meal.
I want something like a shiny bicycle.
Thank you God for blessing me with all these many many blessing.
Although I deserve none of them.
You give them to me.
When others hated you and spit on you.
You died for them.
Thank you Jesus!

Daily December / Winter Essentials

TODAY IS WINTER ESSENTIALS!
So, I don't have a lot of Christmas Essentials so these are kinda going to be Christmas Essentials and Essentials Right Now. Okayyy!
 
/SWEATERS/
Sweater are awesome. This week I've worn one almost every day. I love my cardinals sweatershirt (doesn't look like that one) and my almost warm sweaters.

/CHRISTMAS MOVIES/
Christmas time is Christmas movies. I love snuggling up with my family and watching Christmas movies. Yeah and if anybody has any Christmas movie suggestions tell me. Our family has been looking for some good ones. Apparently, Netflix doesn't have many good ones.

/FRANCHESCA BATTISTELLI/
You heard a couple posts ago I love Francesca Battistelli's Christmas music and this is an essential. I don't know if I've already told you this, but listen to it. It's awesome.

/MY BED/
These weeks have been busy and tiring. After all the math and school I'm tired. And I like the moment I get to climb in my bed, turn on the Christmas lights in my room, get in my covers, and read a good ol' book. After that I love to snuggle up with my elephant and annoy my sister about liking Gale in Hunger Games and flicker the Christmas lights. Lol ;P We love big sisters don't we! :D

/ICEES/
So, I know. It's December. It's cold. But our family is like yeah it's cold, but ice cream. Oh we'll take that sacrifice. So, I'll take the sacrifice of freezing, but the taste is oh so worth it! :) I love icees! Especially around 2-5 where I get $1 larges. And when I get to get free refills on Tuesdays while doing school with my Mom and brother. Oh and I love surge. I think it's green apple, but it's called Surge. I call it deliciousness though. hehe ;P

/FAMILY/
Family is like my number one essential. I really can't do any of this stuff without them. And if I can do them they wouldn't be fun at all without them. They make me laugh. And they make me crazy. They make me LOVE Christmas time. THEY'RE AWESOME! Everything you do or say is AWESOME! Lol sorry Everything is Awesome though :P

Natasha's guest post for Modesty Series #4

Hello there! So, as you might know I've been doing a modesty series. I thought it would be awesome to have a guest poster to have an second opinion. Here is Natasha from A Modest Fashion Blog by Natasha Atkerson!  
Hi there! My name is Natasha and It's awesome to be guest posting today, blogging is an amazing way to connect with different ladies who I never would've been able to connect with otherwise. Ellie asked me to share a bit about my self and talk about skirts vs. pants.


I'm a 20 year old christian pastor's daughter, living in scenic Montana. I definintely don't let society dictate my style! I'd describe my style as a little bit of everything! I enjoy dressing up, formal/classic outfits, but my favorite is probably a cross between hippie/boho and trendy. I blog over at "A Modest Fashion Blog by Natasha Atkerson"


A heated subject for many is the subject of pants vs. skirts-which Ellie asked me to tackle! I firstly want to say-your conviction is your own! If your mom and dad feel skirts are the only way to go, do not let me sway you. I'm a bit in the middle on this issue. I don't personally believe that pants are sinful to wear. "What about that bible verse: 'The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.' Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV)?" You ask? 



My personal belief is that this verse talks about something completely different than simply wearing jeans or a skirt. I'm not going to get too deep into it, but basically, I believe feminine, modest apparel is somewhat dictated by society. For instance, by today's standards, men in Bible times ran around in dresses! 




Pants can most certainly be modest, feminine and appropriate. The flip side is, they can also be manly, inappropriate and immodest! But the same can be said for skirts as well. The bottom line is: what gives glory to our Heavenly Father and doesn't attract undue attention to myself? For me, this often means wearing skirts. I felt led to start incorporating skirts into my wardrobe a number of years ago. Does that mean I gave pants up? Actually, for a time, yes! Now, however, I wear pants sporadically. I usually wear a long shirt that covers my rear end, which helps ensure comfort and modesty. Skirts are awesome, I love wearing them and I feel very feminine and cute in them. But I also live in Montana where it's cold. I'm not one to wear a skirt in windy -30deg. Weather! 



So, if you take nothing else from my post, take this: figure out your own modesty standards between you, God (and parents if your young). Pants, skirts, it doesn't matter as much as what's inside your heart, your attitude.
