A Happy Birthday Post for Aiyanna and Anya // May Babes Tag

hey hey hey everyone! today I have a very special post on a very special day for two very special person ;) I had a blast putting this post and I hope you enjoy!
our first facetime September 3rd, 2016

Aiyanna and Anya on their 15th birthday!! Aren't they gorgeous?! yes they are!!

A couple years ago I met two of the sweetest people on earth who later became my bestest friends ever. Firstly, this is just a witness of how awesome blogging is. It hooks you up with some friendly (like the friendliest people you've ever known) Christian friends. Secondly, I'll never take Google Hangouts and iMessage for granted AGAIN cause that's the only way we can talk being so far away *tears* Anywho, we survive being so far away by "wearing" each other haha meaning we send each other cute clothes that used to be ours. I'm getting SOOO off topic though. Why am I writing this post? Well, firstly because I love my friendzies so much :) but also because it's their birthday today!!
So, in celebration of their birthday we present to you...

The May Babes Tag

1. How did we meet?
Exactly September 16th, 2015. lol I (Ellie) was having a giveaway on my blog and Anya entered. Some of her stuff wasn't filled out right so I had to email her asking her some questions. After that we started emailing each other. Later, Aiyanna emailed me telling me she was Anya's sister. We started talking too.

2. What were your first impressions of each other?
I (Ellie) think my first impression on Anya was that she was really nice but also like clueless haha because in the giveaway entries she didn't fill anything out. I was like, "Oh boy, I gotta talk to this girl." haha so yeah obviously that has changed. For Aiyanna I thought she was super nice to want to talk to me. I also thought it was funny that she just emailed me out of nowhere saying, "Hey I'm Anya's sister, let's talk." :P
Anya's first impression on me was, "like this girl is nice." btw, I got this answer from her. I'm not trying to make myself look good :P Anya actually won that giveaway which I was super excited about because she was a new subscriber to my blog and she was super nice to me.
Aiyanna thought I was nice too (I got this answer from her too :P) and she really wanted to talk to me because Anya had said a lot about me.

3. Do you have any nicknames for each other?
We all call Aiyanna, Aipresha because she says presh a lot. lol and Anya is my Daughter ;P and I'm her Mommy. idk how we thought of this nickname, I guess I act a lot like a mom to her. :P which sometimes I do so haha. And my nickname is Pork bEllie because I'd be a pork bellie if I lived in Georgia which is totally true. I can't stand that hot humidness.

4. Do you have any inside jokes?
Haha yes some of our inside jokes are the Oscars, grannish legs, goodneye, saying pee instead of please, and the cowboy emoji 🤠 haha which is MY emoji. I'm dying of laughter rn and you don't even understand hahahahahaha okay I'm done

5. How are we alike?
We all have brown hair, are homeschooled, Christ followers, share the same age (and birthday week yasss we are so cooler than you haha jk), same shoe size, and the same toothbrush color 🤣 haha me and Anya do ;P Aiyanna you need to get a red toothbrush. We all get annoyed of loud eating haha so don't eat loud in front of us lol and our favorite store is Walmart.

6. How are we not alike each other?
We live in different states, different heights (ugh they're taller than me), they have more siblings then me (I wish I had a baby brother and sister), and I'm a little older than them. Only one week mwahahahahaha. We are SOOO alike each other we had a hard time coming up with more hahaha triplets 👧👧👧

7. What are some of our favorite memories together?
We really enjoy facetiming each other and all the gift exchanges we've had. Getting to "wear" each other. haha and all the surprising gifts we've gave each other. I gave them a frame that says "Distance can't tear us apart" for Christmas and they surprised me with a lovely blue dress I always wanted of them. They told me I couldn't have the dress because they liked it too much and then they surprised me with it in the mail for my birthday. I'm like crying rn is anybody else?

8. What do we want to do together?
We all said at the same time on txt, "MEET!" yesssss we want to meet. We want to hug each other, cry over each other, smell each other, and never leave each other ever again. We want to spend 2 weeks together, one at their house and one at my house. Lots of laughs, good food, and laughter. Unless, we can just live together, Then, we'll just live together forever. *crying* I want to live with you forever.

That's a wrap of the May Babes Tag! We enjoyed sooo much going down memory lane together and answering these questions and we hope you enjoyed reading it!

Thanks for reading! and everybody jot down a happy birthday for Aiyanna and Anya below for us :) thanks!!!

Blogger Gift Exchange 2016

2016 Blogger Gift Exchange
hiiii guysss I'm doing the Blogger Gift Exchange hosted by Jo from The Bearable Blog and Vanessa from Simply Me. fyi this idea was GENIUS. Anywho, basically your assigned a blogger and you get to give them a little gift by writing a post about them or something else.

So I got RockandMinerals4Him.

So, after I read a little about her on her blog I learned she likes reading, crafts, music, science, and knitting.
Ways we can relate are:
We're goal setters (woo hoo I always love those people ;P)
We're both weird? (wouldn't you say I'm pretty weird?)
We both like photography.
And we both the piano.

What I found interesting about her is how she loves bullet journals and adult coloring books. I enjoy the reviews she writes for certain coloring books.

Some posts I like from her blog are:

Please go and check out her blog right here.

Thanks for hosting this Vanesa and Jo!!

And thanks for reading

Let us not Forget our Eternal Gift

Hey guys it's Ellie with a special (very special, loving, pretty, cool, funny, and awesome guest) guest. Well I really shouldn't even be in this post, so here she is. ;P

4 days until Christmas and it's the first day of winter! Gifts are flooding in via the mail, trees are being brought out and dusted off, lights strung, cookies baked, and so on. But, in all the hustle and bustle of this season, what are we really celebrating?

Are we celebrating tangible gifts or, God-our Savior, our Eternal Gift? Our, Wonderful Counselor, our Prince of Peace? (see Isaiah 9:6) For all that Christ has done for us, we shouldn't belittle Him and put gifts front and center. We need to worship the Lord regularly but, we need not forget Him during this season. I know with all the excitement of new items, we can get a little distracted but, we need to remember Him. Thank Him. Worship Him. Praise Him. For all He has done and, all that He will do.

So, as each minute passes, let us strive to keep God in mind and, as we open our gifts, remember, "Why do we celebrate this holiday anyway?"

Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

                              Merry Christmas, y'all!!

I love you guys,
Anya

A Blogger Christmas // Christmas/Winter Go2's

 HEYY IT'S DECEMBER

*confetti* LETS PARTYYY GUYS *even more confetti*

Since it's December now me and some friends are doing a cool series called...

A BLOGGER CHRISTMAS

So, today we are posting our Christmas/Winter go2's.

Christmas Décor
Lights, Christmas trees, stockings, garland, and just says CHRISTMAS. Above our some pictures of some of my Christmas decorations. We have Christmas lights outside, Christmas lights in almost every room, garland over our doors, and stockings.

Socks
Preferably Christmas socks.

Sweaters
While it's freezing cold out you can snuggle up in a sweater and relax. AH I LOVE IT.

Hot Drinks
It's weird because even though a hot apple cider sounds so good right now, if someone asked me if I wanted some hot water for hot cider I'd be like, "NAH." Does that make any sense? It sounds so dumb it really doesn't make any sense. But seriously it's true.

Christmas Clothes
Unfortunately I don't have much Christmas Clothes, but my pajama pants are Christmas-y. Right?! Fun Fact: I wear those pajama pants so much (because they're so comfy) that they're VERY worn out.

And finally a Camera
Because when I see this perfect moment *me on the couch watching football with my comfy pj's and sweater* I HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.

Whelp that's it kiddos.

I hope you likeee.

If you'd like to join this amazing Christmas series, YOU CAN.
Talk to me or go on ahead to Kiley's blog and drop her a comment about it.

And also, visit these blogs pleaseee
P.S. They're doing a Blogger Christmas too ;)

Kiley from Hazel Eyed Blonde
Nabila from Hot Town Cool Girl
and Shelby from Every Bit of Lovely

ALSO, Morning is doing this GENIUS blogger yearbook. So you should check out her blog here.

Comment below your Christmas/Winter go 2.

Praying for Others // And a Special Announcement!

Welcome to Good Apples Friday!

Today I'd like to encourage you to pray for others this week.
After a long day of gymnastics on Tuesday my back and legs starting hurting me.
It made me kinda mad because I couldn't do any gymnastics that whole day.
I still haven't totally recovered from my back hurting when I do flips.
Whenever I asked God for me to feel better I felt bad.
There are a lot of other people out there hurting way more than me.
For me to selfishly pray for myself to get better so I can do gymnastics asap.
I could've been praying for little kids who can't even walk.
People who don't even know what it's like to run and play.
I'm not saying that praying for yourself is bad.
I'm just saying before you go and pray to God about yourself, pray for others.
Thank God for your feet, legs, arms, neck, and whole body that you can use.

I was really convicted by that this week when we visited a friend from church.
A lot of the time we were talking they were talking about their back hurting, getting surgery, and all kind of hurt they have to go through. That made me so sad. Every night I've been praying for them asking God to help them.

It says in the Bible,

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Philippians 4:6

I'm not saying don't ask God to help you feel better.
I'm just saying maybe before you think about yourself, think about others.

If you have any prayer requests I'd love to hear them.
Please comment them down below.

Thanks for reading!

August Highlights

WHY HELLO!

I got inspired by my wonderful blogging friends to write a August Highlights post. I never really do these because I think that I forget everything, but I'm going to try.

Highlights

I started doing tumbling classes.
This is a major one. I started and I really like it. Of course it's not always easy, but I've had some great practices and I'm starting to meet some friends and really get to like my coaches.

I started school.
This wasn't a big downer to me. I was actually excited. And I still am!

I got a new iPod. faster. more updated. better.

I watched the Olympics!
This was a big highlight too. Been waiting for this for 4 years guys.

This isn't a highlight, but I've got sick like three times. First, my legs hurt really bad after a tumbling class and I had sinuses. Second, my neck was sore for a couple days. Now, my back hurts and my calves hurt really bad when I walk and sit. #gymnastlife Anybody else like this too?

I've went to bed at 10:30 like every night even when we started school.

I've been reading Christian books.

A pretty awesome highlight actually. The book is called Explicit Gospel by Matt Chandler. It's really good. Look it up guys. ;)

I've got to hold a lot of babies.
I used to be the baby holder, but now that we go to a new church it's hard making a baby your friend. This little baby keeps coming up to me and she's adorable. Also, my piano teacher's daughter I get to hold for about an hour while my brother plays basketball with the little boys. Also this little boy who loves playing hide and seek. He's my kinda guy then.

Bernie's Random Ramblings // 2 Years of Blogging

Hi everyone!
NOTE: I wrote this on Monday.
I just got done sweating while cleaning the car so I could earn some money so I could buy some bandanas. Tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday I have a summer sport camp that I will be helping out with and I want to buy the kids some bandanas just because when I did the camp I always wanted a bandana. Lol. It's very hot here. Very humid. And I sweat a lot today and I wasn't even totally in the sun or running really hard. Two things that will happen tomorrow.

But that's not what I'm talking about.
I know it's late, but May 28th was my 2nd year of blogging.
I was actually camping with my family that whole weekend so that's why I couldn't post.
I wasn't very disappointed I thought I could just forget about it, but I wanted to thank you.

WHY I STARTED BLOGGING
I started blogging because my sister was doing it a lot and met a couple of friends there too. I really liked the idea and asked my dad if I could make a blog. When I made my blog I came up with the Uniquely You mostly because I was crazy. I know it's kinda hard to see my craziness in the internet, but I'm crazy a lot. I also really like the word unique. I recently changed my name which sometimes I regret, but I really like my new name. Both names really describe my mission in this blog. And I hope I'm doing that.

WHAT I'VE LEARNED FROM BLOGGING
I've actually learned photography. I don't know how and why, but after a while I got interested in photography. I first started taking pictures on my IOS 6 iPod which had horrible quality until my dad suggested using a real camera. And boy did I thank him a lot. It really made my pictures a lot better. My pictures changed from this to this. I think I've really improved on my photography and I'm excited to improve even more. I'm currently looking for a camera like a canon or Nikon that's maybe used that I could get because I'm just using my mom's camera right now. Anyway I've learned photography which is a big hobby of mine.

God in the Center

Hey guys! I'm Anya and I am going to write about how to keep God in the center of your life. I am the oldest of almost 6 kids and between helping with children, cooking, schoolwork, etc. it can be hard to set aside time for God. As a teen, it is most important for me to grow close to the Lord as I get older so that I will have a strong relationship as an adult. Some ways to keep Adonai in the center of your life are:

Setting a time:
I can focus better when I read and pray in the afternoon.

During school:
I have bible school work and the curriculum we use (CLE) has us read multiple chapters so, adding on more reading wouldn't hurt.

Whenever you are in a quiet place:
Whether you are putting a coat in a closet, outside, folding, etc. grab your bible or phone or whatever you use and read or listen to your bible.

Include friends:
It would be nice to include friends in prayer and bible reading to help you stay accountable.

Social media:
I use my email a lot and I just ask my friends or family if they need prayer requests or I ask them for prayers.

Through Music, Movies, or Books:
When engaging in uplifting media, it helps you think more about Christ and encourages you to really remember who you are living for.

Prayer:
You don't need to pray only at night, pray constantly. I find that when I thank God about something I don't like doing like, cleaning the restrooms, it helps me become more grateful. It usually goes a little something like this, "God, though I don't like cleaning the restroom, thank you so much for a bathroom to clean, and a home that has bathroom in it, etc." Prayer is very important, my parents always say, "If you don't spend time and talk with someone, how do you get to know them?"
1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing."

These are ways I hope can help you grow in your spiritual walk but, one shouldn't just try to check it off the list. Really sit and enjoy the moment because life is not promised and we need to live every last minute of our lives for Christ. After all, the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. (Westminster Shorter Catechism)

So, whether you are a new believer or have been a follower of Christ for a few years or more, how is your relationship with Adonai? Strong? In need of strength?Just think about it.

Thanks so much for this chance to guest post on your blog Ellie! It was great! I hope to write again!

In Yahweh,
                    Anya ðŸ˜Š❤

A Little Bounce in Your Step!

Welcome to A Bounce in Your Step
Hello friends! Welcome to A Bounce in Your Step! I hope you all like the new name. I know I do. Oh and sorry about that completely random story a couple days ago. Comment if you'd like me to more of those though! Anywho, thank you Allie from Spreading my Joy for doing my design. Guys go and get a design from her. She's so patient and she's totally opened to anything. She's awesome. Thanks Allie for putting up with me. Because I change my mind a lot when looking for designs. You can go right here to see Allie's Blog Designs Blog. Thanks again Allie! Oh and I loved these sunsets. My favorite color is officially sunset orange. Not just because of Peeta. I really do LOVE the color. It's just shows God's wonderful creation! And reminds me that God is in control. And that comforts me.

So, all credit to my dad for thinking of this name. While I was going to the dentist I asked him some names ideas and he gave me this. At first I was a little like, "Okay..moreee.." But after everything everybody suggested I was like, "Nope it's not better than A Bounce in Your Step." People say you just put a bounce in my step when someone encourages or cheers them up. And I love that. Because I want to encourage people. I love doing it. And I hope I'm encouraging you! I also love the title cause it's goes so much with me. I love flipping and exercising. I'm a sporty person. bounce bounce! It's awesome! I really like this title. And I hope you like it too!

A long time ago I was at Sunday School and our teacher asked me to write down what you want people to say about you when you die. And I said that I encouraged them. And he asked me, "Oh so you're an encourager huh?" I was like yeah. I'm nice like that. hehe sorry for that sick Nick Fury quote there. I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks I am just hilarious! :P Anywho, I'm a shy person. It's hard for me to just get out of my comfort zone and talk to people. But I love encouraging people. And I love encouraging people online! It's so easy. I hope I encourage you guys! :)

I hope that this year I can put a bounce in your step. And that I can encourage you! And also that I can get out of my comfort zone and just encourage everybody! I pray that this year me and you will encourage people more. That whatever is stopping us from encouraging people we will break it. And I know that God will be with me always. And with you too!

Let's go and put a little bounce in their step!

Thanks for reading! It really encourages me when you comment and give me your feedback. You guys are great! Thanks guys! Let's keep encouraging each other!

Sincerely,
             Bernie

Well I already posted them on "Let's Go on an Adventure" but I'll say a couple. To learn more gymnastics skills and to read more books of the bible in the Old Testament.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, when and where would you go?
Good question! Right now Minnesota or San Diego. But I've always wanted to go to Paris.
Have you ever created something that you are proud of?
Uhhh... *thinking very hard* yeah. I once made a pastel wind blower thingy and I was proud of it. And I'm proud of some of the pictures I've drew lately.
Who were your very first blog supporters?
I'm going to have to look at my first post for that. I'm really not sure. I'd say my great friend Rebecca and also Jessica. And of course my sister Sarah.
What inspired you to start a blog?
My sister was making one so I wanted to. I've always been one of those people who just want to share my life to everyone. I've always wanting to make a vlogging youtube channel so I think blogging was the first step for that.

What is your favorite movie that was taken  from a book?
um...I guess I'm going to have to say Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe because I haven't read a lot of books that are movies and Percy Jackson isn't the best. So...yeah! I really liked Alice in Wonderland too though! :) And hunger games even though I haven't even seen the movie but I know they'll be THE BEST!
If you were able to time travel, what era would you go to first?
I'd say like the 70's or 80's. Because I wish I could just walk around town with my friends like he did. And drive a car without a seatbelt. And get really cheep sodas. And bike like EVERYWHERE!
A bible verse that always inspires you is...?
Which good life event sticks out the most in your memory?
When all of my cousins went jumping in their pond and pushing each other in. That was THE BEST!
In twenty years, what and where do you want to be?
Hmm...I don't know. Have a good job. Maybe some kids. I don't know. And maybe living a little more high up. Chicago maybe. I've always wanted to at least live BY a city.
Your absolute best day is when...?
Is when....... *thinking super hard* have no idea. All I'm thinking about is getting to eat macaroni cheese because of the Ramona and Beezus movie. Uhh...I really don't know. When we get to stay up and watch the whole Sunday night football game.

And I nominate....
Shelby from Every Bit of Lovely
Katie from Sparkly Ambitions
Ellie from On the Other Side of Reality
Hannah, Anna, and Emma from The Three Musketeers
Maddy from Maddy's Digital Diary
and Shealynn from The Crazy Chick

2. You're dreaming of....?
3. Favorite sport to watch?

10. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
11. One thing you do that is childish?
