My Christmas

My Christmas Handstand ;P

Merry Christmas guys!!

On Christmas Eve we went to our grandparents house. It was different going there Christmas Eve because we usually go Christmas day, but our uncle had to work on Christmas. So we had a meal and then opened presents. It was awesome to receive stuff, but it was nice to give stuff too. All week me and Sarah were making cookies for our family. I was glad to give those cookies to them. I'm so blessed because our grandparents are so gracious to us. I got some sports slippers, jeans, leggings, pj's, a gymnastic books, and some other cool stuff. It's not all the time we spend time with EVERYONE in our family so it was very relaxing and enjoyable to spend time with them.

On Christmas day we got up, read the Christmas story, and then opened up presents from our parents. It's always a blast because we all buy presents for all our siblings and parents. I got my dad a tie and a shirt for work, my mom a calendar I made at shutterfly, my brother some pj's and a camo shirt, and Sarah a shirt that says "it is well with my soul" (I'm actually listening to that song RIGHT NOW lol). I got a gymnastics leotard, a Seahawks shirt, more gymnastics clothes, some weights, and other awesome stuff too. We also all got a Wi which we were definitely excited about. After we did that we got ready for church. It was so special to get to go to church on Christmas. When we got home we started preparing the meal. Our grandparents and great grandma came over too. It was special to see everyone there. This year we hosted Thanksgiving meal and Christmas meal which is different for us but very fun! :)

I'm just so blessed guys. I'm so thankful. And this year God taught be that even though things are different, that doesn't mean it's not going to be fun. Our holidays have been different. Thanksgiving meal we didn't spend at our aunts like usual. Our Christmas meal with our family was on Christmas Eve. But even though everything seems ruined, God helps us make new memories. Don't be discouraged when everything doesn't go like usual. Because God is good all the time.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!! And remember that even though Christmas is over, it doesn't mean we should forget Jesus' birth. Keep celebrating it. Always be reminded of the true King, born in a manger, who came to save us all.

Have a lovely rest of the week!!

What was your favorite present?
What did you do for Christmas?

Thankfulness Thursday

Welcome to my last post of the series Thankfulness Thursday.
Oh, AND HAPPY THANKSIGIVING YA'LL.

I'm thankful for....

God.
He's so good to me. He gives me so much I do not deserve.

My family.
I love laughing with them. They're the best.

My siblings.
I'm so glad I can have a good relationship with my siblings. Even when I'm mad at them, it only lasts for about 5 minutes because I'm so sad without them.

My friendzies.
I'm so thankful for friends to play games with. To do school with. Seriously, every Thursday after church history all my friends bolt outside, get the football out, and start playing. It's so fun to have friends to play with and tell funny stories with.

My internet friends.
It's so awesome to have friends all over the world who love Jesus. It's so awesome to get encouragement from friends all around the world. Everyone needs a blog guys.

My ability to be active.
Just a couple days ago I was watching a movie about someone who loved football (and was famous for it) but soon later he got cancer in his leg and had to amputate it. After watching that movie I just thanked God for my body. For the ability to run. For the ability to be breathing without even thinking about it. Some people don't have two legs like I do. I can't even imagine what that'd be like. So, I'm so thankful for my healthy body.

My camera.
It's really made me realize how awesome my God is.

My clothes.
I'm also thankful for clothes. I realize that whenever I'm cold, I simply get a sweater on. Whenever I need a nicer outfit for church, I walk in my room and find plenty of nice clothes. Not a lot of people have that. Some people are cold because they have nothing but a dirty shirt.

My church.
I've realized that in the past year we've been at my church, we've done so much with them. We see about three times a week. I've went to a summer camp with them. A mission trip with them. I've done a Sunday service with them. It's awesome to have these godly people in my life. And especially my pastors. They've taught be so much.

Good books.
Not only am I thankful for the Bible, but also other books too. After summer, I suddenly just had a lose of interest for fiction. I'm sure I read it again, but right now I'm just reading Christian books. It's awesome to get book recommendations from my pastor and get to read them. And then of course I'm thankful for the Bible because it encourages me every day!!

Of course there's so much more.

THANK YOU
For reading.
For commenting.
For being friend with me.

Thankfulnes Thursday

Hey guys!! One more week until Thanksgiving!! I'm extremely excited for Thanksgiving. :)

Today I'm doing Thankfulness Thursday!! :)

I'm thankful for...

My dad's job

The beautiful sunset coming down while I do gymnastics outside

My last week of biology class until next year

The woods

Waking up early, but not dreading it

Getting done with Genesis and finally getting to read John

An oven to make delicious desserts with :)

Friends to make movies with

All the Christmas activities I'm going to participate in

And before I leave, I wanted to show you this verse I read a couple days ago.

18 His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said.
19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. 21 So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.

I love this verse because it shows how faithful God is.
How we should be thankful in the most hardest times of our life.
That we should trust in God.
Because even though Joseph was sold by his brothers and sent to prison, he trusted God.
And soon later God gave him a high job in Egypt.
So never be unthankful for your situation.
Know that it's all God's plan.
It's all part of God's good plan.

:) thanks for reading!!

Good Apples Friday // Catechism Questions

Welcome to Good Apples Friday
For my bible study I memorize catechism questions.
I really like these two I've been memorizing.

What is you only comfort in life in and death?
That I am not my own, but belong body and soul in life in death to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair from my head may fall without the will of the Father in heaven; in fact all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit assures me of eternal life and makes me whole-heartedly willing and reading to live for Him.

I really like this whole thing, but I highlighted the words that I think are really important. I love how it says, "All things must work together for my salvation." That's so comforting to know. That God is in control and everything that happens in my life works together for my salvation.

What must you know to live and die in the joy of this comfort?
Three things: How great my sin and misery are; how I am set free from all my sin and misery; and how I should thank God for such deliverance.

Again just the things I highlighted were some really important stuff. How GREAT MY sin and misery are. I am horrible. I am a horrible sinner. BUT, I am SET FREE FROM ALL my sin and misery. I am set free from ALL of that horrible stuff. And I SHOULD THANK GOD for that. Because he is so GOOD to me. So good. He died for me. He died for the the one who constantly disobeys him. He died for the girl who complains about lots of things when I don't deserve anything I have.

ISN'T HE SO GOOD GUYS?

I hope you like this post and it helps you!
Remember to NEVER stop thanking God for the great things he has done.
Even if you're going through something horrible.
You're still breathing because of him.
You still have food because of him.
You still have clothes because of him.

Remember that.

Please give me some feedback. I'd love to hear from you awesome people.

Be Thankful

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!
AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
One of my lessons for the week is being thakful. Yesterday my dad, mom, brother, and me went to Kohls to return a pair of tennis shoes so I could get a pair I liked a little more. After two hours of shopping for some I found nothing and left the store with empty hands. I saw this pair of black and white tennis shoes. They're nikes. And I loved them! Well I couldn't get them and after I saw those shoes I really wanted nothing else. After that I was picky. Cause all I really wanted was that shoe.  Anywho, I got a pair of shoes at another store after getting the big talk with my dad. I liked them a lot though. Anyway, my point is we need to be thankful. That's something I've failed at this week. We deserve nothing of this. Only to be sent to hell. But God have forgiven us and gave us so much. Even when we sin against him so much everyday. He has been gracious to us. Thank you Jesus! There are kids around the country with no shoes, a home, a bed, or a bible. People around the world REJOICE for just one page of the bible in their language. And I have what like 20 bibles in my whole house. We have so much to be thankful for. God is so good to us! And let me share this lyric that I love form the song "Amen, He Lives" By Matt Maher.
Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
I just love this lyric because it reminds me of how God died on the cross for me. For the people who wanted to kill him. For Pilot. For me. For my family.
Because he lives I can face tomorrow. Thank you Jesus.
And last of all I have a post I posted on my group blog a long time ago.
I hope you like!
Sometimes we are so caught up in what we can have that we forget what we have.
We forget that that we don’t deserve anything.
Not our family.
Not a bed.
Not even a single penny.
So why should we want more.
Sometimes I like to think of all the big blessings God has given me.
Even the little ones too.
Like my bed.
And my family.
My education.
Food.
Technology where we can communicate with long distance friends.
A bible.
A notebook and pencil.
Some people have none of these things.
They live in a little house.
They go days without eating.
And they don’t have shoes to wear outside.
Why do I want so much more when I do not even deserve anything.
And while others just pray for a meal.
I want something like a shiny bicycle.
Thank you God for blessing me with all these many many blessing.
Although I deserve none of them.
You give them to me.
When others hated you and spit on you.
You died for them.
Thank you Jesus!

Hope you like!
Comment your comments on this post!
Thanks!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Things I'm Thankful For

1. God. Every time I pray I ask to be bold so I can preach the gospel, to have self control, to love others, and many other things and I know I can't do anything without him. He helps me in so many ways!
2. My mom. Even though she lives a life of her body always hurting she loves me, teaches me, and provides for me. She is the best bus driver EVA! I love her so much!
3. My dad. He is always working for me and my family. I've realized sitting on a chair and looking on a computer is not what he'd want to do all day, but he does it to provide for us and give us a nice home and food.
4. My sister. She always makes me happy and never leaves me with a frown. She's funny and I always got someone to talk to with her. She loves me so much and me too! :) I always can talk to her about books and movies and that kind of stuff. ;)
5. My brother. He is always someone to play with and joke around with. He ALWAYS keeps me laughing and enjoying the hard things. He's got me into football and baseball and I love it. We're class clowns together!
6. My friends. They always talk to me and keep me happy. I'm always me when I'm around them.
7. My church. They always encourage me to be closer to Jesus and to love others. It's awesome to have friends who encourage you in everything you do.
8. My bible. Without that thing I'd be nothing. I love reading the bible. It comforts me and makes me realize how much I need Jesus in my life.
9. Food. It's so yummy and good. Without it I wouldn't be healthy and I couldn't be the energetic person I am.
10. My body. Me and my brother have been reading the Human Body for science and I realize how much God designed every one of us so we could do even the simplest things like bending our knee and opening our mouth. He has made us to run fast and do cartwheels. He's awesome. No one can make any kind of body better than him. No one. Not any kind of technology either.
11. My school. Yeah I know I'm saying this, but I want to be someone someday. Someone who is smart and has a good job. And I realize I can't do that unless I have my education. And with education you need books. God has provided these awesome school books to teach me.
12. Clothes. They keep us warm. And cool. And they are so cozy.
13. My bed and blankets. I always like getting up in my bed and having sleep. Who doesn't.
14. My house. It keeps me safe.
15. This blog. My blogger friends. You guys. I'm so glad I could have this blog. I'm a shy person so I can't always go and share the gospel in front of people, but I really want to get better at it. It's awesome that I can share God's love here to all of you guys. Thank you everyone for listening! Commenting and encouraging! It means so much! ;)
16. Photography. I love being able to share pictures of God's BEAUTIFUL creation. It's awesome!
17. My country. It makes me so sad to think that ISIS is killing innocent people in different countries. I'm just so glad we live in a country where that isn't happening. I know they are very bad things going on in United States to, but God has gave us a country where we can read the bible freely. Some people don't even have those things.
18. Books. They're cool. :P
19. Art. For markers, coloring books, and pencils.
20. Communication. It's awesome to be able to make friends with people all around the world. :)
We need to realize we have A LOT.
Many people are very poor.
They're people with a hut for a home.
Only one pair of clothes.
No shoes.
Food on the table is rare.
They are hungry.
Clean water is also very rare.
And here we are wanting more and more and more.
We call Thanksgiving Thanksgetting now.
Why do we long for more?
Be thankful for what you have today.
Because we don't deserve any of it.
We don't deserve a penny.
But God is giving this to us.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Hope you like!

Super Summer! Part 1. :)

Bello! It's Ellie! Finally. Yeahh I got back from my camp (that I think I secretly didn't even tell you about) on Saturday, but posting never was my main goal. Days past fast, but I still wanted to post about it because you just gotta hear about it. This year for my summer camp me and my sister went to Super Summer at Greenville College, Greenville Illinois. It was my first year so I was a little nervous. I knew I was going to miss my family and I just wanted to be back at the no business life which is VERY rare for me. I LOVE BUSY! ANNYYWHO, right when I was with my church group heading to the camp I wasn't nervous. I was pumped! I was laughing and having a great time.

SUMMER CAMP NERVOUSNESS
Let me tell you something, Super Summer is like a dream land. Suddenly, whenever you get there you miss your family, but your not thinking about it. It's pretty much the college life. You get a dorm key! GUYS! THAT'S LIKE..............AWESOME! But I haven't even got to the best part yet. So hang on and keep reading!
MY SCHOOL
In every grade your in a different school. No it's not dreadful like that. It's pretty much like the group you hang out with and go to sermons with. Every school you have a color. I was in the red school. First when you got there you put your luggage in your dorm and immediately a TL (team leader) escorts you to the red school room. It was ALL decorated in red. Red balloons and red table cloths surrounded the room. IT WAS AWESOME! I met my roomie there too! We also met our family group. Mostly after sermons and school sessions your family group would gather together and talk about what they learned.

SCHOOL SESSIONS
In our school sessions the main topic was your identity. We read Genesis 1-3 talking about Adam and Eve. I though of a question which is: If we were born sinners then what did we do? What sin did we commit? Here are also some questions our dean (who is like your main speaker at your school) gave us: Would you die for someone? Would you give permission for someone to die? Have you or I put my hope in the hands of Jesus? Do you or I trust him with it?

RECREATION
Rec was AWESOME! It was all about supporting your school. You'd look weird if you didn't wear you school color. Before rec our whole school gathered in our room. EVERYBODY WAS PUMPED! Red face paint, red shirts, red streamers, and red horns were all over the place!
We were all ready to make our team look like so AWESOME! They screamed, The RED TEAM! One of our leaders shouted "For RED!" And we bolted sprinting across the field. Holding our hands up and screaming! We played awesome game like soccer, town house ball, hungry hippos, and my favorite dodge ball. We were DEFINATELY ALL PUMPED!

SNOW, SLEDGING, AND PHOTOGRAPHY!!

Brrrrrrr........ It's so cold out. Comment if you got snow! I did! Yay! As some of you might know I was dreading the January weather we were having. Everybody was talking about sledging and really cold air when it was about 40 or 50 out. IN JANUARY! Though don't feel sad for me yet cause last Sunday night is snowed! IT SNOWED! THANK YOU JESUS! 7 to 8 inches. Though here's the bad part. It might rain this Saturday. School's have been out for the whole week! It's been freezing! I've been sledging like crazy. This is what I wanted! This is what I was waiting for the whoooooooollllleeeee summer. THIS IS IT! THANK YOU!

We went sledging. It be creative we also used sticks for skiing and went snowboarding too. Our hill is almost two hills it's long and kinda bumpy too. IT WAS SO FUN! Today, we made a ramp with a log and some board. I have a picture of me jumping off it! It was epic! So, here's some photos! Some pictures were the same as last time except last time it had no snow. So it's like a before after thing! AWEOSME! Anyway, hope you enjoy!

A Photographers Life

This is a photographers life. It's about 20 degrees outside. You decide to go outside and take pictures in the freezing cold. Your hand is almost solid rock. But your strong. You fight for your beautiful pictures! It was worth it! TOTALLY!

Hello everyone! I'm so sad cause I haven't posted much photography in a long time. Though everything is kind of dead. I didn't think I'd find much things to take pictures of but again like always God's marvelous creation impressed me again.

These pictures I decided to edit. Do you like it?

                                                                        My backpack

I hope you liked these pictures. Before I go I want to share a couple bible verses I came across this week that I loved!
