Why do we celebrate Christmas?

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Tonight me and my brother might sleep under the Christmas tree! So, I know ya'll have heard many times what Christmas is all about! JESUS! Even though that story never gets old I'm going to talk about something else. Why do we celebrate Christmas! Let me tell you something it's not just because Jesus was born on Christmas day. It's also about this.

1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

This is it! We were dead in our sin. Dirty, poor, gross, and many more things but God saved us! He didn't just want to show his love to the children and preach to the lost. He wanted to die for every single one of us. For by grace we have been saved through faith. This is not our works. But by his gift. That's the real gift. His forgiveness and love is our gift this Christmas and every one. Not just on Christmas day but everyday! I don't know about you but I could maybe die for a friend or relative but I couldn't die for someone who hates me and wants to kill me. But God did! He died for the people who hated him! He forgave them! That's why we celebrate Christmas! Because of God's love for us! 

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 

So let's not just celebrate Christmas because it's God's birthday but also because of what he did for us! No gift is better than his love! Merry Christmas everyone!

Countdown Till Christmas! 3 more!

3 more days till Christmas! Today I did my play! It was really good and funny! So today I'm doing a useful and hopefully fun post. A last minute Christmas present. YA HEARD IT!

                                     A LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS PRESENT!
I was going to post pictures but I gave the present away already.

Okay, so first we got a cup that had a lid and a straw. Not one of those little and gross McDonalds though a nice one. You could also get a mason jar. Then, we bought a package of their favorite candy. We got Tropical Skittles and Gummy Bears. After that we put the candy in the cups put the lid back on and wala! We decorated it by giving a little quote or whatever your creativity takes you too!;) It was only about 6.00 for this gift. Awesome, right?!

4 more!

4 more days till Christmas! 3 more days till Christmas eve. Today I got a kind of short post. Tomorrow I'm going to be in a Christmas play called David's Dynasty. Yea it's based off Duck Dynasty and yes I resemble Mrs. Kay. It's weird cause today is her birthday. I like the play! So anyway this is what has been happening in my Christmas filled day today.

We went to church like usual. This night we planned to go caroling. We went with my Pastor and his daughter (my best friend) and her friend and my family. We went to a couple assistant living centers. Then we went in a couple neighborhoods. The last one was the best though. Just think of a long street covered with apartments. People walking outside. Their were cool Christmas decorations too! We started walking down the street while singing. There would be people opening up their window and listening. Some would shout a nice thank you! I would just smile! ;) Some kids said hi and bye to us. Then, our pastor said a passage in the bible. It was dead silent then you heard a loud voice proclaiming a passage. It was so happy! So there's your little story for you. Then we came back to our church and ate pizza. We told tons of funny stories and laughed like crazy! Minus the fact, I hurt my ankle by jumping the wrong way down the stairs, it was a blast! Hope you day was like this one too!

5 more days! Today I'm doing some Christmas bible verses.

Luke 2:10 "Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people."

Also today we were reading Christmas songs. It's awesome to sing them, but sometimes we need to focus on the words and read them. So, I'm going to copy one here for you.

Countdown till Christmas. 6 more!

6 more days! Getting closer every day! Ahh! Yesterday I went shopping for my siblings and friends. I've been really busy because I'm actually helping at a Christmas camp and we got to work all day today and tomorrow. Anyway, today I'm going to post some of my favorite Christmas songs. Soon I'll a DIY Christmas present post for you. Some of the videos will include Christmas specials. Like q&a or gift exchange. Cause I love 1 girl nation and they're posting a lot of those. I just got their Christmas album for an early present. I got Cimorelli's too! Go check those out! There awesome!

7 more days until Christmas! Countdown till Christmas.

7 more days! Can you believe it! One week until Jesus's birth! One thing that you've probably heard so many times is God is the gift. When we hear it they say Oh yeah I'd rather have Jesus than presents, but really in their heart they don't always really feel like that. While I was reading this video of some people singing a Christmas song I really though about it. God is my gift. He is the gift. I don't want anything but him! Nothing, but him. Presents are nice. So are family!;) And food! He is the gift. Let us adore him! Cause he is our gift!

Countdown till Christmas #2 post

8 more days till Christmas! Sorry I skipped a day. I will try very hard and do my best not to skip another day. Sorry.
Today marks 8 till Christmas. So, I'm back at it again. Today I'm doing.....
 
 
10 Reasons why I love Christmas
1.  Jesus birth. It's all about him and how came into the world to save us from our sins.                                                                                                                                            
2.   The spirit. The joy, craziness in town, loving care, the thankfulness. It's all happy!                                                                                                                                                  
3. The lights. Lit houses with Christmas trees along with their ornaments that take them back to that day.
4.  The gifts. Not just the ones you receive but the ones you give. The smile you see when you give your sibling or parent something they've always wanted.
5. Your family. It that time when you hang out and laugh with your family.
6. The food. Yeah you get fatter but you good food.
7. The music. "All I want for Christmas is you" "Away in a manger no crib for a bed"
8. The plays. The little tiny cute kids that sing loud and look at you like they're having the best time.
9. The cards. The beautiful pictures of you awesome friends with their awesome family. Getting to see their face again just makes me smile.
10. The book and movies. The movies and books about Jesus and many other creative stuff.
 
So, I hope you like it! 1# is the most important thing about Christmas. Jesus. So, stay and I might give my opinion about what Christmas is all about. Thanks for reading!

Countdown till Christmas sereis and Christmas Tag;)

It's the Christmas season! So, I'm going to write in red! Yay! If anybody didn't realize today marks 10......10 days until Christmas day! I'm so excited! So, in honor of Christmas I'm going to do a Christmas series I guess you could say. Every day until Christmas I'm going to do a Christmas themed post! So today I'm doing a Christmas tag!;)



What's your favorite Christmas film?
The Christmas miracle, Little Women (I think that counts right) and Journey to the Star (I just watched it for the first time couple weeks ago!)  Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Not that I remember but probably when I was little.

 You know just reading the Christmas story with my family then opening presents and going to my relatives house and opening more presents and loving each other. Then eating!

 Real

 Hot chocolate, does Ham count? And of course cookies.

 It's the same. I love giving presents and picking them out but I love receiving they too! What is the best gift you've ever received?

Your update on 19 kids and counting

So lately I've been really loving the show 19 kids and counting on TLC. Me, my brother, and my Mom would watch their show on Netflix ALL THE TIME, but it deleted couple months ago. We numerously call Netflix and TLC asking them to put it back on Netflix. Our good friends love 19 kids and counting too and watched it on Netflix too. For about one month we couldn't watch any of the show, but we had too. We started watching some episodes when we went to our Grandma's on TLC. Then, we started watching episodes on YouTube. Now, we can find many new episodes and we love it! Though we miss the old ones too. If anybody hasn't heard the Duggar news lately you will just think social media is nasty.

It all started with social media blaming the Duggar's and saying they hated gays. After that the social media started making unbelievable rumors about them. Jessa got married on the 1st of November in 2014. About two or three weeks later the media says Jessa is pregnant. I haven't heard any other news about that since. Maybe a week later they say John-David the second oldest is courting. Later the Duggar's post on Facebook saying John-David is not courting. Oh could Jana who is twins with John-David be courting Tim Tedow. That rumor comes too. After is kind of gets old they say Amy Duggar the kids cousin is trying to steal Tim Tebow from Jana. Amy posts on Instagram saying, "Me and Jana laughed so hard at this. We haven't even met Tim Tebow. So moving on.

Some awesome and most incredible news is coming. Jill the fourth or third (I don't know if you count the twins as one or two) just got married on June 21st 2014. After about three months they announced that they're having their first baby. It's a boy! And about a week ago Anna who is married to Josh the oldest announced their having their 4th baby!! I think it's going to be a boy, but they need a girl. Josie's birthday was on the 10th! So here's some information about her.

Josie was born December 10th 2009. She was a very early baby though. For a long time she was in a hospital and was not able to eat. She was 1 pound 6 ounces. Although she's still alive. It's a miracle that she is! You look at her now and you can't believe it! Josie is very healthy and energetic too! She has a kind and loving heart along with a joyous smile! Josie has this personality that lightens my day up! Always smiling, energetically playful, caring heart, and a bright five year old she is.

The upcoming birthday in this month will be Jordyn December 18th age 6, Jinger December 31st age 21, and Jedidiah and Jeremiah December 30th age 16!

The Photography Photo Tag!

Dia duit! That's hello in Irish. No I haven't been studying Irish. I looked it up on goggle translate. Sometimes it just sounds boring when you say hello or hey. So I'm changing it up. Anyway back to my post. Today I making my own tag. It's called Photography Photo Tag! Yay!

Lately, I've been doing a lot of editing. Most of them are collages of Duggars. It's really fun! I've also been occasionally posting pictures of random photos I took. Even though I'm not the best, I LOVE IT! So I made my own tag. Here are some rules and information about it.

Usually I post pictures depending on the season or holiday. I like random too!
2. What is your favorite pattern.
I love patterns so I have a lot. I love zebra print, polka dots, and stripes.

I like far away better, but zoomed up is very pretty too!
4. If you could go anywhere in the world to take pictures where would it be?
Probably New York cause they have so many tall building and light. Also because Niagara Falls is there. ;)

No. I love mine, but they much more professional than me.

Natasha's guest post for Modesty Series #4

Hello there! So, as you might know I've been doing a modesty series. I thought it would be awesome to have a guest poster to have an second opinion. Here is Natasha from A Modest Fashion Blog by Natasha Atkerson!  
Hi there! My name is Natasha and It's awesome to be guest posting today, blogging is an amazing way to connect with different ladies who I never would've been able to connect with otherwise. Ellie asked me to share a bit about my self and talk about skirts vs. pants.


I'm a 20 year old christian pastor's daughter, living in scenic Montana. I definintely don't let society dictate my style! I'd describe my style as a little bit of everything! I enjoy dressing up, formal/classic outfits, but my favorite is probably a cross between hippie/boho and trendy. I blog over at "A Modest Fashion Blog by Natasha Atkerson"


A heated subject for many is the subject of pants vs. skirts-which Ellie asked me to tackle! I firstly want to say-your conviction is your own! If your mom and dad feel skirts are the only way to go, do not let me sway you. I'm a bit in the middle on this issue. I don't personally believe that pants are sinful to wear. "What about that bible verse: 'The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.' Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV)?" You ask? 



My personal belief is that this verse talks about something completely different than simply wearing jeans or a skirt. I'm not going to get too deep into it, but basically, I believe feminine, modest apparel is somewhat dictated by society. For instance, by today's standards, men in Bible times ran around in dresses! 




Pants can most certainly be modest, feminine and appropriate. The flip side is, they can also be manly, inappropriate and immodest! But the same can be said for skirts as well. The bottom line is: what gives glory to our Heavenly Father and doesn't attract undue attention to myself? For me, this often means wearing skirts. I felt led to start incorporating skirts into my wardrobe a number of years ago. Does that mean I gave pants up? Actually, for a time, yes! Now, however, I wear pants sporadically. I usually wear a long shirt that covers my rear end, which helps ensure comfort and modesty. Skirts are awesome, I love wearing them and I feel very feminine and cute in them. But I also live in Montana where it's cold. I'm not one to wear a skirt in windy -30deg. Weather! 



So, if you take nothing else from my post, take this: figure out your own modesty standards between you, God (and parents if your young). Pants, skirts, it doesn't matter as much as what's inside your heart, your attitude.

Winter Wasteland Tag

Do you get winter boredom? Are you ever bored out of your skull? Do you want to go crazy sometimes and just be creative?

Here are some kind suggestions when you feel like your going to catch the Winter boredom disease.

Hello friendly viewer and followers! I am doing the Winter Wasteland Tag! I was nominated by Jessica from (Almost) Perfectly Pink. Please go check out her lovely, interesting, and awesome blog. Also, please check out Julie's from Writing for his Glory. Her blog is also so fun, artistic, and interesting. Ok so here are some rules. All you have to do is share 5-15 things that you like doing in the Winter, then tag 5-10 people. Here we go as Peter Pan would say.

1. Write a kind and warm letter to a friend, relative, fictional character, or even a nonfictional character.

2. Make lovely pictures of random things in you house, flawlessness outside, or even a sibling or friend.

3. Bake! Make something yummy for yourself or even for a relative, friend, firefighter, or policeman.

It could be a paperclip chain or a paper chain or anything.

Thanksgiving has passed but Christmas is almost here!

Aloha! How's was everybody's Thanksgiving? Did you eat the biggest meal you ever ate before? I got stuffed before I got even close. Here's a good question. Turkey or Ham? I like Ham better, but Turkey it good too! So, anyway I'm going to do a Thanksgiving post. What I did, What I'm thankful for, along with some random Christmas pictures I took! Let us move onward!
Here are the ten things I'm thankful for.
1. Jesus Christ
2. Family
3. Friends
4. The bible
5. God's creation
6. The gifts God has gave me
7. Communication with long distance friends
8. My lovely clothes and house and everything in it
9. FOOD!
10. You followers and viewers!
There's many more. These are just few!

Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving day) we left for our Grandma's house. Her house is about six hours away from our house. The drive seemed like it took all day. You know how you always bring a lot of stuff for the drive up, but you don't use any of it. I do that a lot! We listened to the Chronicles of Narnia cd of Prince Caspian. Speaking of that, I JUST FINISHED THE LION, WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE! YAY! Moving on.

The next day was Thanksgiving day! I had so much fun eating and playing with my family. I have the most adorable cousins in the whole entire world. We did a lot of cool things together! We played piano, watched Frozen, ate and ate and ate (of course it was Thanksgiving) and colored! Meanwhile in the afternoon my little cousin fell asleep on me. It was the cutest thing ever! I love my cousins SO MUCH! On Friday, it was almost the same. Eat, play, eat, play. We played Head Bands except it was the newest act it out game! It was a blast playing it with my cousins! That night we had the best pizza in the whole world! It was delicious! Then, we put up the Christmas tree for our Grandma. It was so funny and enjoyable because we were all in the Christmas spirit while singing songs. The house went bonkers when my uncle brought the Santa up. He sings. He's creepy. But everybody loves him! Rudo (our dog) was terrified by him. He used to just bark at it, but not now. Even when we shake his hand his bolts out of the room. It's funny!

On Saturday, we left. It was sad saying goodbyes. Although, our Grandma is coming to our house this week because my uncle is coming for hunting season. Before we left we went to see my Grandpa's grave sight. It was so sad to see it, but it made me happy too! I thought about all that pain he had. Now it's all gone! Though we miss him so much we know he's in a better place. I love him so much! Which brings up the fact that my dad killed a buck deer and he's is cutting it right now. We saw a Christmas tree in the middle of the road. It was so beautiful! We also went to an awesome Italian restaurant. It was really yummy!

When we got home we unpacked then we set up out Christmas tree. After putting up our Grandma's we totally got in the Christmas mood. There's so many memories that come up when you think about Christmas, ornaments, Jesus's birth, family. Then today we did some extra decorations. I put my little town up and some garland in my room. We also put up a manger scene and some others. I'm so ready for Christmas. What about you?

This whole trip was awesome! We hadn't seen my Grandma and her house in a long time so it was good seeing it again. It just has to make you smile when you think about family. Their so precious! The food was delicious! It's always good when your go to your Grandma's! So here's some pictures to contribute to this post!
